Arts Advocacy

Zootown Art's belief is that art and educational opportunities should be comfortably accessable for young Missoulians and their families. The program seeks to fulfill this belief by employing artists in the valley and making community alternative art and art making more readily available. Zootown encourages artistic problem-solving skills in a student-based learning atmosphere with a low ratio of student to teacher. The hope is to encourage community-building through small group artistic experiences and teenage and artist volunteer opportunities.

Missoula Cultural Council
the official cultural agency for Missoula, provides the community with resources for the development and promotion of arts and culture.

The Montana Arts Council
the agency of state government established to develop the creative potential of all Montanans, advance education, spur economic vibrancy and revitalize communities through involvement in the arts.

Americans for the Arts
have partnered with the Ad Council to create a multiyear national public service advertisement campaign to promote the need for more arts education opportunities for children.
